Good day, my name is Winnet Simango, and I am a Quantity Surveyor Intern for Drop Dot (Pty) Ltd all thanks to Univen Continuing Education (UCE) associated with the University of Venda. I am grateful for this opportunity as I get to experience the practical side of my course while gaining the relevant experience needed in the construction industry. I found the opportunity via the construction networking group chat and once I sent my CV it did not take much time for Rofhiwa Makhavhu (CETA project head) to contact me and since then along side her other colleagues from Univen Continuing Education have been nothing less than amazing in taking me through this journey. I am on a construction of a school Project in Upington, Northern cape worth R150 million this is a once in a life time opportunity that a person with no experience would not usually be exposed to, everyone in the construction industry knows entering the industry is the most difficult part of being a graduate in construction but UCE made it all possible , thank you UCE for this opportunity!
